Public Gardens

One of the several gardens of Hyderabad. Located in the centre of the city, Public Gardens is also home to the State Archeological Museum, Jawahar bal Bhawan and Lalitha Kala Thoranam, an open air theatre that hosted the prestigous International Film Festival twice. Children's train that takes around this beautiful gardens is an added attaraction.

Beside this garden the beatiful white structure is the Andhra Pradesh Assembly building with green lawns.
In 1985 a New Legislative Assembly hall was inagurated by the then Prime Minister of India Late Sri. Rajiv Gandhi.

Recently the government has installed a huge statue of Mahatma Gandhi - the Father of the Nation sitting in the praying posture looks peaceful for all.
