Canon launches its latest mobile printer in Indian market
New Delhi, Oct 3: Canon, market leader in imaging technology, today announced the launch of its latest mobile printer in the Indian market.

Weighing a mere 900 grammes including the weight of the battery, about half the size of an A4 paper and scanning enabled, the fully-featured mobile printer, BJC-55 offers cordless printing. Alok Bharadwaj, General Manager, Systems Products Division at Canon India Pvt Ltd said, with Laptops increasingly becoming an integral part of business executive’s tool-kit, we see a new and emerging opportunity to expand our wide range of printer offerings in India. 

The mobile executive who could compute using Laptop, communicate using cell phone can now print on the move. ''Industry estimates are that the laptop market will grow by over 30 percent in the current year to a total of over 60,000 units. We are positioning ourselves early in this promising market.'', added Mr Bharadwaj. Canon India Pvt Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of Canon Inc., markets a wide range of technologically advanced, high quality, office automation equipment to cater to varied customer requirements. 

Pioneer in the Inkjet printing technology, Canon holds the patent for the Bubble Jet printing process and has consistently been placed within the top three of the US Patent Registration Chart. Canon has a 33% share of the worldwide inkjet printers market. With total sales of 27 billion dollars, Canon figures third on the list of the top ten most competitive companies in Asia.
